KINDS OF SUPPORT
Shangrila Home VZW is not a once-off event, but a long-term project. We are still looking for more people who are willing to commit to a monthly contribution to guarantee the sustainability of our projects. We have project accounts in Belgium as well as in The Netherlands, on which the money is integrally transferred to Nepal.
Child sponsorship
The average monthly expense for a child in Shangrila Home is 90€, with which we pay for the roof above their heads, clothes, food, health care and education. The love we give them is for free.
Twice a year you’ll receive a letter from your sponsor-child

School sponsoring
Lots of kids can stay with their parents but cannot go to school. Through your monthly school-sponsoring of 15€ we make sure the child can stay within his/her family environment and still go to school.

Logistic support
Shangrila Home provides a roof to around 100 children (long-term and short-term). On a daily base we provide food and other basic needs to over 130 people, including our staff and their children. Would you like to help finance these extra’s? You can, with our logistic sponsorhip program. Here you can find an overview of those expenses.
General sponsorship
If you want to contribute but you’d rather not choose for one specific child, then you can do so by transferring a monthly or once-off amount of your choice as a general donation. We need this kind of support to cover any unforeseen expenses (which are quite inevitable) or use it to finance the activities of our YRP-program. Every eurocent gets transferred to the projects in Nepal.
